Interracial Love Note Card

Description

This card is 4.25 inches(10.8 cm) wide and 5.5 inches (14 cm) high. It is blank inside so that you may add your own greeting. It comes with a matching handmade envelop. The envelope is made from the same weight and color card stock as the card base.

I am in an interracial marriage and I rarely see cards celebrating our love. So I decided to create my own.

The first version of this card was a gift for my husband. As I was sitting at my desk playing with some new rubber stamps I decided to make something to let him know I was thinking of him. I sent him the card at work one random day to add a little smile to his day.

The current version of the card, which you see here, was created with Valentine's Day in mind. However, it can be used for a variety of special occasion or any time you want to express your love. It would also make a lovely wedding card to an interracial couple or great invitations to a wedding. Start a conversation with me to discuss having a custom set made for your occasion.

The kissing couple image is created with a rubber stamp and archival ink. It is colored using watercolor pencils and archival ink. The background has two layers and is also created using a rubber stamp and archival ink. Although it does not show up well in the photographs there is inking around the edge of the couple that allows them to stand out from the background. There is also a inked light blue border around the background.
