Kentucky Cream Candy Recipe Old Fashioned Real Recipe Just 3 Ingredients

Okay, so if you're not from Kentucky, maybe you don't know anything about this candy. If you don't know anything about this candy, you've probably never heard of Opera Cremes either, you poor soul. I don't have a decent recipe for Opera Cremes (yet), but I do have a recipe--the AUTHENTIC recipe--for Kentucky Cream Candy.

There are many Kentucky Cream Candy recipes out there. Quite a few of them call for more than three ingredients, but the real authentic recipe only has three ingredients. Beware those recipes that call for anything more. (And if you buy Kentucky Cream Candy in a store, it probably has preservatives in it as well. This is the real thing.)

I have been making this recipe for my Mom every Christmas for probably ten years or so now, and it's just as frustrating now as it was the first time. Some years are great, and the candy works right away; other years I have to try three times before I get one batch that works out. So this candy isn't for the faint-hearted! You have to be pretty patient to make it, but it's well worth the trouble. When that first creamed piece melts in your mouth... mmmmm. Definitely worth the wait.
