black beaded cocktail dress

Coco Chanel once said, "every woman needs a little black dress."

This is a very classy and sexy black cocktail dress from probably the late 1950's or early 1960's.
Dress is very fitted sheath style, with a V neck and a deeper V in the back. But the neckline is not too deep to wear a bra, and the straps are wide enough to cover bra straps. There is an overlay of the same crepe material on the bust, with a fringe of clear seed beads all the way around. This fringe will shake and sparkle when you walk and especially when you dance! This is a great dress for holiday parties.

bust 36"
waist 30"
hips 38"
skirt length 25"

this is closest to a modern size 6-8. (sizes of different brands vary so much these days, it's safest to go by your measurements)

The tag says "Pixie of California" but there is no size or fabric contents listed. The metal zipper is in excellent condition. The fabric is black crepe, probably polyester or another synthetic blend, and the lining is black acetate. I would reccomend dry clean only but I have never worn or cleaned the dress. Condition is very good.
