Red Rose Bouquet Polymer Clay and Brass Cabochon Necklace

It seems like most of the jewelry I make looks vintage whether it's made from seed beads or polymer clay. And here's another example, this time with pretty red roses!

The entire cabochon is made with polymer clay. The cab is baked for 25 minutes at 275 degrees, sometimes several times and then coated with Varathane (a water-based polyurethane) for extra gloss and durability.

The cabochon is set in a brass setting that is new, but looks vintage. The cab in the setting measures 35mm in diameter and is hung from a vintage brass chain by a bail. The necklace chain is just about 20 inches long and fastens with a lobster claw clasp and ring.
