Showed You Your Air...gocco print on old book page

Description

This is a small edition of 28 signed and dated gocco prints on old, worn book pages.

On discovering my copy of William H Burroughs ‘Dead Fingers Talk’ desiccating on the bookshelves I decided on transforming it into a new set of prints. As I prepared sketches for these prints I was inspired by its coarse, vile language that depicts at once the dichotomy of reckless beauty and bodily disintegration...A collage of slightly otherworldly images are printed on a series of old book pages, discoloured through age and wear. One side of each print has been left raw where it has been torn from the sleeve; imperfection and crude marks are important to my work.

Each print is approx. 4 x 7 inches. The hand mixed colour used here is a rich burbundy.


Each print varies from the next as some pages contain more text than others - I have tried to show this in the pictures displayed here of two different prints. If you purchase a print it will be selected at random so please be aware that your print may contain more or less text than those displayed here.

Shipping is charged at $4 for United Kingdom; $5 everywhere else.
