Mother and Child

Description

This is a color woodblock print, printed in oil-based etching inks on Arches Cover White cotton paper. This piece was an exploration, made by carving two seperate blocks and printing them in 5 colors. The paper has a slight texture, which contributes to the effect of the patterns in the piece. I was channeling Mary Cassatt, I suppose. This is an edition of 7 signed and numbered prints, and numbers 2-7 are available. The image size is 9x11.5, with a border of a few inches on each side. I plan to do some more mother & child themed images...
