Startled Deer

Description

This is a handcrafted wall hanging made out of solid wood surrounded with a live edge (that is, the natural bark is still on the wood). It depicts a startled buck deer in a mountainous, wooded setting.

The overall dimensions are approximately 10.5 inches by 13.5 inches and is 5/8 inch thick. It is cut from solid basswood and the natural bark surrounds the plaque. The pattern was cut out of the wood using a scroll saw. The background is a dark, blue mat board.

A clear varnish has been sprayed on it to protect the wood and enhance it's beauty. There is a sawtooth hanger on the back for hanging on a wall. I made this in my workshop and the photo shown is taken of the actual item that will be sent.
