Ninja Squid
Description
No one knows where he came from, but they remember when.It was a steamy summer day on a Caribbean island of no importance. One of those days when you can feel your body slowly sweating itself into oblivion. The locals of ill repute were congregated in the local establishment of even worse repute, silently pickling their livers and oogling the hired help.
They didn't hear him arrive, but the breath of cool air (some would claim scented with gun powder and spices) alerted them to the change in their surroundings. He was at the bar, silently looking at the congregation before him. What happened next is hazy as there are few who remain who remember what happened. One story claims he bought a drink and then proceeded to clear the bar of all life except himself. One story claims he asked for those who knew of a squid named Matey and when no one answered, he took their silence as complicity and avenged himself on them. An even less common story tells of his torrid love affair with the bar wench Esmelda, but that is commonly taken as pure rubbish. Everyone knows Esmelda only dates Octopi.
No one may ever know what happened, but one thing is true, this was a squid with a mission. A mission against one of his own squid kind, a pirate squid named R. Matey. Where this blood feud came from, we will never know. The ways of the squid are mysterious to our biped ways. In the end, both the Ninja and R. Matey know that a day of reckoning will come.
The Ninja's favorite activities are avenging past crimes against R. Matey, practicing fighting (he favors the nun chuck and throwing star), and making origami camels.

This mysterious Ninja is handcrafted in the ancient mysterious way of amigurumi. The materials of choice were acrylic yarn and a mystical I crochet hook. His weapons of choice, nun chuck and throwing star, are made from cotton/metallic crochet cotton and an itty bitty crochet hook. The creation of the Ninja took over 6 hours and is made from my own personal pattern.
The Ninja measures 15" from the top of his head to the bottom of his longest tentacle. The weapons are not removable as any self respecting Ninja would never be caught without them. His tentacles are poseable as they have pipe cleaners in them.
The Ninja should not be left around children as he is rather moody and terribly dangerous when provoked. We really don't want to have to tell the story of what happened the last time he was left around the pre-teen set. It wasn't pretty.
