Easter collectibles are the best of all! This is because Easter stuff wasn't meant to stick around too long and that meant it had to be cheap. Imagine a time when those amazing pastel hued paper mache rabbits were on a dollar shelf!! Well, to us those are priceless treasures. All that candy colored Easter emphemera is proudly displayed all year long in our home...so this little art squared is definitely one of our faves. The cupcakes featured are an intricately cut out mini print of our original 8"x 10" painting. We actually own those little bunny and chick picks seen in the painting. The background is a clipping from a vintage holiday decorating book and all the patterned papers are in the palest pastel tones that define Easter: pale turquoise and white pin dots set against palest shabby pink and white pin stripes. The outer rim not seen in the photo consists of vintage recipe book clippings. When you hold this in your hands (like most 4x4 and ATC's) you'll see all of the minute attention to detail. And no details were lost in the downsized. Each little vintage cupcake topper (adorable bunnies and chicks in party hats!!) is as distinct as ever. It's on a 3/4" thick beveled wooden plaque measuring 4" x 4" with slight distressing and an age authentic sepia wash. Signed, dated, and fully finished on back. Ready to hang..with a little saw tooth bracket!
