This print is of 6 actual paintings that are each a part of a very successful series of paintings involving the senuality and seductiveness of meat. I have worked in meat rooms at supermarkets, as both a clerk and apprentice meat cutter, long enough to see the aesthetic values in a wide range of cuts of meat. As an 'artist/meatcutter' I recognized the necessity for meat to be abstracted in order to be swallowed, therefore, it was natural for me to objectify meat and approach it with the same focus as my other still-life objects. I found it most enjoyable to work with subject matter that attracted a diverse audience consisting of vegetarians and carnivores alike.

I recently started reproducing them on my swanky new printer that uses expensive archival pigment based inks that will not fade over the decades. The quality of the image has prompted a few people to ask if these prints are infact paintings. No, but the detail shows clearly that there's no dot pattern.

Individually these are available a little larger here on etsy. This poster sized print is on 13x19" paper and shipped protected in a clear acid free sleeve with backing board and ready for framing. You should collect them all, they'll make you popular with your vegetarian friends!!
