Handmade patchwork baby blanket

When I was pregnant, several years ago, I received many blankets as gifts. While thanking each giver sincerely, I privately thought "how many blankets can one baby use?" What I didn't realize at the time (having never had a baby before) was that babies are not like other humans: they can whip through a stack of clothes and blankets at an unheard of speed. In fact, the smaller the baby, the larger the stack!

With this in mind, I offer you this handmade patchwork baby blanket, based on one I made for my son when all those gifts proved to not be enough. The patchwork top is made from all 100% cotton fabrics in retro prints and patterns that are sure to catch baby's eye during tummy time! The backing is a super soft and cozy minky-like plush with an interesting texture for baby's fingers.

This blanket measures approximately 24 x 32 inches and is hand-quilted for durability, ready for many trips through your washer and dryer.

Each blanket is unique, a perfect baby shower gift.
