Sun Discs Handmade Bead Embroidered Pendant Necklace
Description
I loooooove old jewelry, particularly jewelry from the Elizabethan era. This piece was inspired by a 16th century enamel necklace from the Cheapside Horde, discovered at the turn of the century in London. The three pendants remind me of the ancient Roman Art I saw at the Getty Museum last summer while visiting with my husband for a friend's wedding, and the piece worked up surprisingly fast! Each pendant is centered around a vintage (1950s) lucite "moonglow" cabochon, and embellished with rows of embroidered seed beads in various sizes and cuts. The pendants are connected with two tiny ladders of 3mm bugle beads, and the neckstrap is accented with two strands of Czech firepolished beads. Each pendant is also backed with a suede-like fabric for comfort and durability. The clasp is a vintage lucite clasp. Overall necklace length is approximately 24".
