Rule Number 1 (Wood Type Collage)

Description

This 8"x10" broadside is printed letterpress using my collection of wood type, in 4 colors, on thick off-white stock. The colors are light blue, green blue (teal), yellow green and red. This is a limited edition of 39, with each broadside numbered on the back. Each print is slightly different, due to anomalies in inking.

I have more of these left, I list them one at a time. Check my shop or convo me if this one is sold.

Wood type, a cheaper alternative to metal type, has long been used to print posters and broadsides. The Hamilton Wood Type Printing Museum in Wisconsin has a lovely website with information about the history of wood type and lots of pictures (Try starting here: http://www.woodtype.org/museum_information_about.shtml)

The broadside fits is a standard frame. Sent in a flat no-bend cardboard envelope with a protective plastic sleeve.
