"Dark Spring Storm" is a lovely handpainted, handspun 2 ply yarn. A "dark" single of 100% natural black lambswool was plyed with a "colored" single of 50% Finewool and 50% Llama wool painted in the hues of a spring storm. (These include, but are not limited to turquoise, pumpkin, hunter green, burgundy, and rose.) The resulting yarn is a maypole of beauty in a light worsted or DK yarn. A "3" or "light" on a Yarn Classification Chart, "Dark Spring Storm" has a WPI of 12-14 or approximately 1100-1300 yards per pound. A hat, a scarf, a set of mittens or socks, or possibly even an addition to a sweater--"Dark Spring Storm" can compliment a variety of colors.

Recommended gauge (knitting) of 5.5-6 stitches per inch on US needle size 5-6 or metric needle size 3.75-4.0 mm. Crochet hook size F.
