Description

STORY:
I often get very irritated with consumerism. I find the cognitive dissonance of our country and the gap between poverty and wealth just terribly upsetting. This collage features glamour models, starving children, President Bush, an article on homelessness, fashion patterns by Dolce & Gabbana and Burberry, Tony Blair... and cut-out letters spelling "Consume". It's a statement piece, you might say.

TECHNICAL DETAILS:
This is an original collage created in 2006 by Kate E. Austin, signed at the bottom. Measurements are forthcoming - convo me if you're interested! It was created with mixed media, including newspaper, magazine clippings, mod-podge, Sharpie, charcoal, and acrylic paint, among other things.

SHIPPING INFORMATION:
This item will be shipped flat in a padded envelope via USPS First Class Mail. It will be backed by foamboard and placed in a plastic poly bag for protection. Please allow two weeks for shipping and see my profile for further details.
