Often inspired by poetry and literature this piece depicts my interpretation of the character Annabel Lee from the poem by Edgar Allan Poe. Whilst studying my degree in costume design and working on a particular project I became obsessed with dolls and old back braces and prosthetic limbs. This is the haunting image of the owl in flight and the symbolism of being caged within a back brace but also adorned in cage-like jewels whilst watching the passage of time.

Please note that the first photo is a detail, the entire image can be seen in the second picture.

This is a beautiful reproduction giclee print of my original artwork, printed onto Fine Art Smooth Watercolour paper using archival quality pigment inks.

The print will be shipped encased in card and cello sleeve in a card backed envelope.
