Learn to spin on this beautiful custom handcrafted spindle. These spindles are made from maple and birch grown in the US. This is a 2.5" top/high whorl spindle that weighs 1.8 oz and is 12" tall (excluding hook).

A top-whorl spindle is also a suspended spindle and has the whorl at the top of the shaft. There is a hook on top of the spindle just above the whorl for catching the yarn. Top-whorl spindles rotate at a higher speed (high-whorl spindle), which makes them ideal for spinning most types of fibers - from fine to thick/chunky.

Included with the spindle:
-- 2-3 oz of fiber - white wool/mohair roving and hand-dyed mohair/merino/targhee/romney blend roving (photos coming soon)
-- Free basic spinning instructions
-- Leading yarn (yarn that is tied to the spindle, it is then easier to attach drafted fibers onto the yarn for immediate spinning).

Money order, cashier's checks, business checks, paypal (debit, credit card, or paypal funds) are accepted, but NO personal checks. Since I cannot refuse e-checks, if paid by this method there will be a holding period of no less than 10 days from the time it clears from paypal and my bank before I send the item (due to past experience).
