Beaded Glow Necklace - Battery-powered - Light Blue, Purple

Description

This beaded necklace glows in the dark, creating the look of a luminous enchanted jewel. Powered by one AA battery, it will last about 6 hours on one battery.

It illuminates a 2-3ft. radius, making it easy for you to see items that are close to you in the dark.

This necklace features a 5-inch electroluminescent wire (EL wire), sheathed in a translucent beadwork mesh.
The beadwork mesh is illuminated nicely by the EL wire, reflecting and spreading the light.
The mesh also softens the "eye-burning" feel that EL wire can have (looks more like neon).
1-AA-battery power supply is in the back of the necklace, in a fabric pouch (velcro closure).

A translucent scarflet in the back veils the power supply (organza fabric - shimmering look).
The scarflet can be tied back - exposing the beadwork and EL wire (Cyberpunk look),
or it can be wrapped around the necklace, softening the glow and illuminating the fabric (Glamorous look).

The structure of the necklace is a semi-flexible plastic tube, which protects the El wire and circuit, and keeps the EL wire from bending.
It is very durable, yet it is lightweight, flexible, and surprisingly comfortable (I forgot that I was wearing it!)

Velcro closure makes it very easy to put on and take off.
