When I set out to make this necklace, I envisioned something that Queen Esther might have worn. I chose amethysts because purple is the color of royalty.

This beautiful necklace is made of 14 kt gold-fill chain, large vermeil beads (sterling silver plated in 22 kt gold), natural 7mm dark round amethyst beads and natural 6mm faceted amethyst rondelle beads. The back of the necklace dangles a beautiful large(2" long and 1" wide) vermiel and amethyst cross and a gold-fill signature tag with the "Salt & Light" logo on it.(tag pictured on model is no longer available).

The necklace measures 16" from end to end and has a 3" drop from the center of the chain. This piece is made to order so requests can be made for length adjustments.

This necklace comes with a card discussing the scriptures that inspired it and is boxed for gift giving. Matching earrings, bracelet and ring are available for purchase separately.

**********What is Gold-Fill?**************
There is a difference between gold-plate and gold-filled. Gold-fill is 50 to 100 times thicker than regular gold-plating, and about 17 to 25 times thicker than heavy gold electroplate. Gold-filled items are made by combining a layer or layers of gold alloy to a base metal (usually brass, copper, or steel) then rolling or drawing the metal to the desired thickness and shape. Gold-plate is a very thin deposit of gold, electroplated or electrochemically applied to the piece.
