My MY BROTHER'S BOOTS has a special place in my heart.

I sketched MY BROTHER'S BOOTS during the Vietnam Era. My brother was in the reserves and these were his boots that he wore. Since I have started selling my work, I have had lots of men who were also in the military during this era come up to me and tell me exactly what make and type of boots these are and then tell me their own stories, connected to their own boots. When things like this happen to me as an artist, it really validates my work.

I have been an artist all of my life, but am a self-taught fine painter and have only been painting since 2000. My work is very realistic, as I get many of my ideas from photographs. MY BROTHER'S BOOTS was actually done when I was about 13 years old, many years ago!
