Joseph - The fish of many colors

Joseph is a funky fish all decked out in his coat of many colors.
Yes! This is a real fishing lure minus the hooks.

Rows of seed beads have been woven around the lure using the peyote stitch. Each bead is added one at a time. The beaded “coat” is woven on, not glued. The way it is beaded around the loop at the top and the gradual increase and decrease of beads make this an intricate piece but in playful whimsical colors.

Hanging from the bottom of the lure is a square crystal in a lovely lavender color.

The tail is beautiful in light blue bugle beads with green glass drops at each end. There is a second looped fringe around the top of the tail in light lavender. These two colors really attract the light.

Joseph the funky fish is 2 ½ inches long with a 2 ½ inch long tail.
It hangs on a 16 inch long leather strap. This can easily be lengthened or changed to an organza ribbon. Just let me know!
