My SAINT AUGUSTINE LIGHTHOUSE APPROACHING STORM actually depicts the Saint Augustine, Florida, Lighthouse in an approaching storm, doing what it does best-- guiding into safety. I painted this when I felt in turmoil, myself, and my lighhouse helped me get through a rough spot, just as the Saint Augustine Lighthouse has been doing for others for decades. The guiding light shines through the clouds and light particles reflect as it filters through the storm clouds. The lighthouse stands to direct us into safety from tumultuous seas.

I have been an artist all of my life, but am a self-taught fine painter and have only been painting since 2000. My work is very realistic, as I get many of my ideas from photographs.
