Oracle - original Eames style abstract painting 18 x 24

Description

"Oracle" acrylic and pastels on gallery canvas, 18" x 24". The painting is signed, and the sides are painted so it is ready to hang.

I created this painting to incorporate the retro futurism of the mid-century modern Eames era style, with a warmer, more progressive modernism. I wanted it to feel architectural, kinetic and deconstructed, yet organic as well. Instead of a paintbrush, I use found objects and cultural artifacts to push the paint, distort the surface texture, and create color effects.
