CONTACT ME BEFORE ORDERING if you have a favorite phrase or movie line or 20 seconds of music you'd like me to add to your lamp for $15 extra.
And of course, you can buy the lamp without talking as well. Whatever is your pleasure. . . .


A while back I was working with a friend who was talking with the good folks at Cirque Du Soleil about making some products for them. Given the opportunity to exercise my creative muscles, I put together several lamp and shade presentations for them. As fate frequently rears its unexpected head, my friend never followed through with Cirque Du Soleil and they never did see my designs.

So Etsy has given me the splendid opportunity to get these lamps in front of some eager eyes. (You gotta love Etsy for providing all us creative souls with a forum to share those rampant sparks that traverse our brains on a daily basis.)

This is another in my series of Shadow Lamps. I’m not sure which character this was. I think he was called “La Poule.” To me, the shadow of the Cirque Du Soleil rays of sun beginning from within him and then spreading to the full logo on the wall behind the lamp was a perfect fit. As all things Cirque, the totality of its world begins within each one of its magnificent characters and spreads to the rest of all our universes. The shadow lamp makes a wonderful piece of art or a lighting source or even a warm night light, easing us softly off to sleep.
