Flower Hat for the Budding Child in Pink

This adorable hat is perfect for dressing up a budding child. It is hand crocheted with a cotton blend yarn. This kind of crochet is called Tunisian crochet, a technique resembling crochet and knit. I love this type of crochet because it creates a hybrid knit-crochet look.

The seam is in the back.

This hat can be worn with a rolled up brim or straight down. When straight down, the brim is designed to bell out and should shield the child's eyes from those harmful UV rays.

I prefer the cotton blend yarn over 100% because the resulting fabric is less dense but has the same cotton feel and breathe-ability.
