MEADOW green textile art basket
Description
This basket waves and sways like tall grass in the meadow.Under the command of the wind, it flows.
It has been crafted in shades of rich greens. The overall effect is from light teal to kelly to forest.
The basket has been hand coiled on an irregular wooden base that still retains some bark egdes. The basket itself is highly stylized and also irregular in shape. The basket front features a vintage gold metal pin that is in the shape of a leaf.
This basket measures roughly 14 inches long by 10 inches wide. It is 4.5 inches high.
My baskets are made by the coiling method of basketry. Strips of fabric are wrapped around an inner cording as the shape is formed.
Each one is unique.
