27 bead Yellow Turquoise mala with shell guru bead

Description

This strand of prayer beads(also known as a mala) is made in the Hindu/Buddhist style. It is comprised of 27 17mm hourglass shaped yellow turquoise beads, 2 10mm wood jasper round spacers, a ?12mm white shell guru bead, and has a beige tassel. All my malas are made from natural semiprecious stones-I use no glass or plastic. A prayer or mantra is repeated for each of the 27 beads. If you desire to continue beyond this, turn the strand over and count back the way you came, NEVER crossing over the guru bead. I find an excellent spiritual reference to be www.sanatan.org.

This is one of the most interesting stones I've used. There is a great deal of variation in pattern/color from bead to bead, and it's quite weighty.
