How the outside can tell how you feel inside

These nine baboeschka's have been part of my subject for my final project at the academy of fine arts.

The assignment was to create a self-portrait.
The idea to make a few Russian dolls and to add a feeling to them, appealed to me.
In my daily being, emotions and feelings play an important role. They define my personality and my state of mind.
They are the mirrors of my soul.

Feelings are an inner perception caused by a certain source. When feelings cause a physical reaction, you can determine this as an emotion.
Emotions are a subjective experience, combined with physical reactions like laughing, crying, screaming,...

This work is:
Nine times feeling
Nine times emotion
Nine times different

These are the feelings and emotions that they represent:
irritation, confusion, energy, depression, relieve, hurt,
patience, happiness, excitement.

But of course, a human being has many more feelings...

I would love to do a custom order to make your feelings.
But then you have to be very patient as clay is a material that needs a long time to dry.
If you have this patience, I would be more then happy to make one or more feelings.
You pick the feelings, I tell you what I plan to do and tell you what the price is.
If you agree on the idea and the price, I start making them.
The price varies between $150 and $350 a piece.
The height of these baboeschka's is more or less 5,5" (depending on which feeling it represents)
Count on at least two or three months for them to be in your possesion.
They stay natural, I don't use any glazes or stains.
I can use a different kind of colored clay if you prefer.

Shippingcosts depend on the weight and country they will be shipped too. The price indicated is the price to ship all nine as shown in the shop. Individual feelings will be a lot cheaper to send as they weigh less than 1 kilo.

The nine Baboeschka's in the the shop are only for sale if they are bought together! They belong together you see...
They are actually 'my' feelings so I'd rather make a set of your feelings than sending you these! ;)
