Swallow Flight Mask
Description
A unique, armour like mask of papier mache pulp over armature, overlain with hammered and etched copper, rusted bottlecaps, gauze, paint and wire. Swallow bird at center of mask was hand cut from copper sheet, hammered into low relief, acid etched and given a liver of sulphur patina. Size: 23" wide x 15" long (excluding gauze veil and pendants, 26" with veil) x 4" deep.Added on Nov 22, 2009
