Sunny Delight - Handspun Yarn

Description

Lovely, soft wool yarn in cheery citrus colors - oranges, pink grapefruits, and lemon yellows - plied with pale yellow rayon thread to create a fun, bumpy texture. This yarn is somewhat thick and thin, and is just over 90 yards. This was spun from the same roving as Strawberry Lemonade (see my other listing), and they would look really cool used together in a project!

This yarn is 100% mill end wool and rayon thread. Finished items should be handwashed gently in cold water. Since the yarn is wool, it will felt, but I'm not sure what the thread will do. I don't recommend using this yarn for felting projects unless you're feeling very adventurous!

What can you do with handspun yarn?

What are mill ends?
Mill ends are wool from commercial spinning mills that for whatever reason didn’t make it all the way through to become yarn. This wool is sold at a discount, which I pass on to you in the form of lower prices! Since the wool is the same stuff used by commercial yarn companies, it’s very good quality, and since using mill ends means using something that might otherwise be thrown away, it’s recycling! So you’re getting high-quality, lower priced yarns, and doing something good for the environment at the same time!
