Kolme dress - Size s/m/l - Made from scratch - Eco friendly

Wear the Kolme dress for a special evening out or splatter it with mud at the Glastonbury festival, you'll look amazing either way!

The Kolme dress is part of my graduate collection from London College of Fashion. It's entirely handmade by myself from scratch including the design, pattern making, dyeing with natural dyes and sewing.

*Size*

Bust: Unstretched 91cm (35.8 inches) Stretched 112cm (44.1 inches)
Waist: Up to 104cm (41 inches)
Shoulder to hem: 147cm (57.9 inches)
Underarm to hem of godet: 168cm (66.1 inches)
Total strap length: 139cm (54.7 inches)

The top section with tie shoulder is made from stretchy jersey, ensuring a great fit for a wide range of sizes. The ties can be adjusted too.

*Materials*

Top section: 67% bamboo, 28% tencel, 5% spandex jersey.
Lower section and godet: 100% cotton

Reclaimed cotton: All the cotton fabric is shop-soiled seconds, saved from a trip to the incinerator. A quick wash rejuvenated the fabric and prepared it for dyeing. I'm really glad this gorgeous fabric could be stopped from going to waste.

Bamboo jersey: Bamboo is a great eco-friendly fabric choice, it grows fast without the need for pesticides. It also feels very soft and is gorgeous to wear.

*Natural dyes*

The fabrics have all been hand dyed by myself with natural plant dyes and only safe mordants. It's always exciting to see how the colours turn out, they're never exactly the same twice.
Walnut and tea provide the neutral hues from beige through to brown and grey. All the tea used was recycled after a nice cuppa!
Dyeing by hand gives a unique, subtle texture to the colours. I've researched wash and light fastness and chosen some of the most stable plants around. However the colours can change and become lighter, or even darker with time! This is all part of the fun.

*Care instructions*

The Kolme dress can be hand washed with mild detergent in cool water, or machine washed on a cool, delicate cycle. Using a mild, pH neutral detergent will help the colours stay true for longer.
Dry out of direct sunlight (I'd hang it from the hem so the top section doesn't stretch out of shape.)
Iron on a medium heat setting.

*Shipping*

This dress will ship within 7 days. If the actual shipping cost is less, I'll refund the difference.

To the UK: I'll use Special delivery next day, both tracked and fully insured.

To Everywhere Else: This will be fully insured for the purchase price. Depending on your country it might have tracking or delivery confirmation.
Please note that any customs duty is not included in the price, you can check with your customs and excise department to find out if you'll be charged extra.

*Returns, refunds, exchanges*

If you're not happy with your purchase please contact me! I'll do all I can to fix it.
Return your item in it's original condition within 14 days of receipt for a full refund minus shipping costs.
If the item is damaged in transit please let me know, I will make a claim with the post office and refund/exchange your item.
