funny bunny earrings

look, i know you like bunnies. i like bunnies. soft white bunnies with pink bows around their necks. or even ceramic white bunnies with ceramic pink bows around their necks and an ear cocked at a jaunty angle. like these ones. which is why i couldn't pass up the strand of mardi gras beads on which these bunnies originally hung when i saw it at a thrift store. i knew that whatever heinous deeds these bunnies had committed in their past lives--whatever the person that gave them to the thrift store had to do to get them in the first place--would be absolved if they were given a new, cuter, craftier, cleaner life. hooray! step 1 of the bunnies' rehab program is completed. take them home with you for step two: community service. looking really cute and funky dangling from your ears, getting you lots of compliments and turning lots of heads.

bunnies are paired with plastic turquoise beads from a broken necklace, silver wire, and nickel-free earring pieces. earrings are ~ 2.5" long and 1" wide.
