Flight ACEO

Description

This aceo is a mini piece of art measuring 2 1/2" by 3 1/2". I used artist grade acrylic paints on 140 lb. watercolor paper and applied a sealing top coat.

I called this piece "Flight"--the inspiration came from creative challenge #68 to create something inspired by that word. I painted the silhouette of a gull in flight over a patchy sky.

I took several photos on a darker surface and on my computer the blues look more true. The white background made the blues appear much lighter than they are.

This will be shipped in a protective sleeve.

What is an ACEO? If you know what they are, they are completely addictive to make and to own! For those not familiar with them, ACEO stands for artist cards, editions and originals. They are small works of art in any media, the only criteria being they measure 2 1/2" x 3 1/2".
