Pink Biwa Pearl Ruffle Necklace – So feminine, yet not for the faint of heart because these pearls will get you noticed. I have a necklace made from these pink Biwa pearls and I’ve gotten stopped in the street by people attracted by it.

Ballet pink Biwa pearls are strung in a ‘herringbone’ pattern onto a vermeil (22 carat gold over sterling silver) toggle clasp.

Biwa pearls derive their name from Japan's Lake Biwa, where stick-shaped pearl forms were originally harvested. Biwa pearls are grown in freshwater mussels in lakes and rivers, and their forms contribute a unique character to the natural luster and shimmer of the pearls.

This piece is one-of-a-kind, but I have more of these pearls and can make you something similar.

The necklace measures approximately 22 - 23 inches including the clasp.
