50s or 60s Vintage Dress Pattern - B 32

Description

Butterick 8492. Misses Dress and Jacket. From pattern back: sleeveless sheath with figure-following lines and a polo shirt type neck. (A) Sheath and contrasting boxy cardigan with three-quarter length sleeves (B) Sheath with banded sleeves.

From envelope and garment style, I estimate this pattern to be from the 50's or early 60's, though the envelope is undated.

Condition: Dress pattern unused, all pieces present, jacket pattern used, all pieces present. The front piece and a facing piece of the jacket have been ripped but could easily be taped be usable. Envelope is torn and tattered, but not too badly considering the age of this pattern.

Size: Vintage size 12, Bust 32, Waist 25, Hips 34. Sizes have changed over the years, so go by body measurements.

This dress reminds me of Rizzo in "Grease". It would look really good made up with a contrasting collar.
