Celtic Knot Dangle Earrings

These dangling earrings I have constructed are made by soldering a small square of sterling silver that is slightly domed to a lager square of 20 guage sterling silver. The square on top has a celtic knot design etched directly into the metal. The Celtic knot reinvents the cross in the form of a knot. This traditional Irish emblem retains its origins, but has been widely adopted for its intrinsic design qualities. During the finishing process, I use a technique to hasten oxidation which helps to enhance the etched design.

I design and make my own earwires from 20g sterling silver wire, a small bali silver bead and an even smaller 2mm gold filled bead. The square earring wire design not only compliments the piece, but it helps to keep the earring safely in place.
Each earring measures 1/2" square and is 1 1/4" from the top of the earwire to the bottom of the square.

The hand of the maker is evident in all my work. Expect to find the subtle and unique impressions of my tools and process in each item. Therefore, the piece you receive my vary slightly from this photograph.

Each pair of earrings comes packaged in a lovley purple cardboard box.
