Grove

Description

Grove is a two plate/two color monoprint. Mono-print meaning one of a kind print, hand pulled.

The process is rolling ink onto a plexi-glass plate (in this case two different colors on two individual plates) and then removing ink with various tools. By using two plates, any ink removed will end up showing the other color.

Once the image is drawn each plate is run through the press one at a time on the same sheet of paper.

The paper is 100% cotton rag, Arches 88. Image size 6.75x5.75". The frame is an acid washed gold wood, dark with some distressing makes it a beautiful compliment to the print. Matted and framed size, 15x13".
