Tiare Flower Necklace Sterling, Apatite, Iolite, Pearl
Description
Lately I have been reading a little about the Tiare flower which is a form of gardenia found in Tahiti. The women there use it to signify if they are taken or single depending on which ear they wear it behind. It smells so good!A single hilltribe flower is surrounded by tiny faceted iolite rondels, seed pearls, hilltribe faceted seeds, and apatite rectangles that I wove in with many feet of thin sterling silver wire. The flower pendant hangs from four handmade (by me, not Thailand) sterling silver hammered circles, accented with apatite, iolite, and peacock blue freshwater pearls and is attached to 16" of sterling silver chain accented with iolites. All jump rings and hammered rings are soldered for security so you should not have any issues with them coming apart.
The apatite is very vibrant! I took the last picture outdoors to show the color of the blue without a blue background.
FYI: Hilltribe silver beads have a silver content of generally about 97%, about 5% more than sterling, and are handmade in Thailand.
The pendant measures 1.5 inches wide by 1 inch tall and the entire necklace stretched end to end measures 22 inches. Keep in mind if that sounds long, that you can attach the clasp to any of the links on the chain creating your own custom length. If you desire more length let me know and I will add an extender.
