Description

The covers of this 128-page tall journal feature a pattern by William Morris, one of the leaders of the Arts and Crafts Movement. What better inspiration is needed to pick up a book and fill it with your own creative ideas?

The pages are cut with a paper knife by hand to simulate the paper's natural, mouldmade deckled edges. The paper is white with red flecks, suggesting a hint of pink that complements the flowers in the bookcloth's pattern. Hahnemuhle Ingres paper is suitable for writing, charcoal, printmaking, and pastels.

Bookcloth is made by backing fabric with acid free mulberry paper. Acid free Davey boards are used for the covers. A muted green waxed linen thread binds the journal. Because the text block is hand sewn (as opposed to glued), the journal will stay open when the covers are laid flat.

This sketchbook or tall journal measures 9.75" in height, 6.5" across when closed, and features a .75" spine. Text pages are slightly smaller than cover dimensions.
