Thumbprint Earrings

Description

These earrings are made from 18 gauge sterling silver wire and feature an inverted double spiral design-- they look like a thumb print. They are made from a single piece of wire, soldered for strength with hammered earwires that will hold up to lots of wear. They have been given a patina and then tumbled in steel shot for a shiny finish. These are a fun new addition to my spiral series, and are a very unique design.

They measure 1 1/8" tall x 3/4" wide.

The last two photos are variations of the original design. The third photo from the top on the right is a silver and brass earring. One of the spirals is sterling silver and the other is brass, for a nice contrast. The fourth photo shows a third option with the inner spiral joining the outer at a right angle, which somehow gives the earring a more substantial feel to it.
