Boris the Beer Bottle Spider
Description
Made to order, eh?Hats off to the Who–“Look, he's crawling up my wall...
Creepy, crawly
Creepy, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly
Creepy, creepy, crawly, crawly...”
Boris hails from a little town in Saskatchewan...he reads Prairie Fire all day long, and thinks up sardonic remarks to recite to his posse--when they meet at the corner café--in-between wise-cracks about peoples oddly shaped heads. It’s not much, but it’s an existence, eh?
Nuts and bolts of Boris the Beer Bottle Spider: I used the parts of a Victory Old Horizontal Barley style Ale for the amber parts, and the bottom of a jumbo bottle of Pilsner Urquell for the green. These were copper foiled and soldered together with a lead-free solder. I used 1/8" round hollow copper rods for the legs, and soldered three little rings to the legs for a variety of hanging angles. The legs are about 4" long, and the glass body is a little over 5" long and about 2 3/4" at the widest.
Happy Halloween!
