"Heart of the Chaparral," the title song of the album of the same name, was written about our home, and life, as a birthday present for me. It inspired me to do the artwork on the cover.

Heart of the Chaparral is Don's latest work, recorded with some of the best pickers in San Luis Obispo County.

It is a complex work, running the gauntlet from folk music to rock, and blues to bluegrass, with a complete story in every song.
