Butterfly Bookmark Paperclip 1 A Creative Challenge

Description

Time for another Creative Challenge. This one was number 68 and the word was Flight. I decided on Butterflies and to make a fabric covered button which I turned into a bookmark/paperclip to help you on your Flights of Fancy into the pages of a book.

The butterfly fabric was first interfaced to avoid the metal from the button form from showing through. After covering the button with the fabric a piece of ultrasuede was cut to fit the back of the button. Then several coats of decoupage were applied to protect the fabric. Use a damp cloth to clean the surface.

The button was first sewn onto the peacock blue jumbo paper clip with floss and then glued to keep it from slipping.

Use this fancy paperclip as a bookmark or to hold those important papers together.

Piece measures 1 and 1/2 inches wide (button part) and 4 1/2" long.

This would also make a great gift!
