Bowl for a Bear of Very Little Brain - Porcelain Bowl

When my kids were little, I loved to read A. A. Milne's books to them, When We Were Very Little, Now We Are Six, The House At Pooh Corner, and all the Pooh tales. My kids are grown, or almost so, and I still love the adventures of that silly old bear. So wise and foolish, loyal, selfish, generous, perpetually hungry, hopeful and superstitious. So much like me!

Here is a bowl dedicated to Pooh and company. For me it represents blustery nights, sweet smelling, freshly bathed child (or two) on my lap, and snuggling while Pooh and Piglet adventures are read aloud to sleepy little cubs.

Around the rim are the phrases, "Tiddly-Pom" "A useful pot to put things in" "Oh, bother" "Happy Windsday" "Thats what Tiggers do best" and "Just a taste".

This bowl is made from porcelain, and was glazed with our Evening Sky Blue. Around the words is clear glaze, so the blue words contrast nicely against the white porcelain. It is 7.5 inches (19 cm) wide and 2 inches (5 cm)tall. It is very shallow, and could be displayed on a plate stand. It is food safe, microwave and dishwasher safe, and oven safe if started in a cool oven.

All in all, I think Mr. Milne would approve. After all, the best gift IS a useful pot to put things in.
