Bubbles Cascade Pendant - Blue

Description

Tiny bubbles cascade in a sea of blue, forming the central design element of this gently domed pendant.

Handmade by myself from fine silver and enamel in the champlevé style, each pendant is first engraved with a design. The engraved areas are then filled with various shades of enamel and fired at 1500 degrees F. After stoning to achieve a smooth finish, the surface is coated with a layer of translucent blue enamel. The back is enameled as well to prevent chipping, and all edges are sanded smooth.

The pendant is suspended from a 16" sterling silver cable-style neck wire by an oval jump ring.
