Description
Toni Morrison, author of such incredible books as The Bluest Eye, Beloved, Jazz, and many more, has always been a favorite of mine. When I started cross-stitching portraits more seriously, I thought she'd be a great subject for my work. I took a black and white photo of her (from Princeton University, where she is on the faculty) and converted it to sepia tone and voila, here you go.This item is stitched on 18 Fiddler Aida (oatmeal colored canvas) and is 85 stitches across and 100 down. It took me about two weeks to complete, and the price is based on the number of stitches (8500), number of colors in the palette (6), as well as the cost of materials. Shipping not included.
