A Cup Full of Blessings -

9" x12" original encaustic painting

This is a unique, original encaustic painting that I created. This image is hopeful and enchanted. This angel honors the blessings of every day simple pleasures...a cup of tea, a shared conversation, the blessings that abound in the simple joys of life. Looking at the Full Cup rather than the empty one.

This encaustic painting is visually stunning, textured, dreamlike and magical. The photograph does not do it justice.

It was created by the wonderful process of encaustic painting.
Beeswax was applied to a masonite panel , and fused with a heat gun. After that more paint, and collage imagery was added, with each layer having encaustic medium overlayed and heat fused, in between each layer of encaustic paint.

Layers of paint and beeswax were added to give a textured feel to the piece, It was carved into with lines incised to enhance the texture and imagery.
