This is the meeting of Funk 'n Head.

1. This dread cuff/wrap is a beautiful combination of hand dyed wool and silk boucle, knitted by me. This is beautiful colourway of browns, earthy russets, deep ruddy golds. This is the picture that inspired the combination of colours: http://www.nps.gov/archive/grca/photos/images/D_0731.JPG

The dread cuff/wrap can be worn alone with your own hair pulled through the top, or some of your own hair pulled thru the top or it can be worn with the dreads i've made to go with it. She measures approx. 9" (22.9 cm) wide when laid flat and approx. 12" (30.5 cm) when stretched. Because of its knitted construction it will easily accommodate up to a 25" (63.5 cm) head comfortably.

2. The dreads are gorgeous. I've felted and partially felted (fulled) different rovings in shades of brown, russet/blue, deep orange, and others that combine beautifully together. There are 15 distinct fulled dreads combined with various other braided and crocheted 'dreads'... some of which look very much like "Fiddleheads"! They are built on to a knitted band. The band is buttoned to the inside of the cuff/wrap. The dreads can be arranged in numerous ways.... pulling some down on the sides (as shown in the pictures), some down in the back, or looping them on the sides. Since the wrap/cuff and the dreads can be turned (there is no 'front' or 'back') you can arrange the colours of the dreads where you'd like them.

So much fun stuff to do with them! But all of it requires MAJOR ATTITUDE when wearing!!
