Sony TFM-9440W MP3 Player

Description

Here is a Sony TFM-9440W radio from approximately 1975. It was originally an AM/FM radio however it was broken so I removed most of the insides and added a set of computer speakers to allow for connecting an iPod or any other audio device (using a standard audio plug). I modified the back cover to hold the speaker controls panel.

The knobs on the front do not actually function, but still turn to maintain the original feel of the radio. (Tuning knob does move needle but this does not actually change the station.) Power and volume control are provided on back of unit as well as a connection for headphones or your choice of other speakers.
