Indian Miniature Glass Plate

Description

this is one in a series of one-of-a-kind reverse decoupage 10" glass plates. subject matter is gleaned from a variety of sources and cover my wide range of interests. insitu loves to take decorative arts: textiles, paintings, illustrations, maps, and manipulate through subtle changes like scale and cropping, to create a seamless-looking glass art object.

a ten step process creates an image that looks like it is painted on the surface, rather than sitting behind the glass.
the back of each plate is uniquely colored, sealed and labeled. individually handcrafted, each is signed and dated by insitu.

gentle hand-washing is recommended. please don't submerge, but please do use these plates to serve special holiday cookies, etc. they will make any special occasion that much more special for you and your guests!
